Yep,I've awakaned from the depths of inactivity. First of all, I want to apologise for ignoring the people who I devwatch. (especially those who watch me back)I haven't been commenting much,purely because I've been enjoying lurking around here. I like to do that more than anything here. I'll get around to sorting out my inbox soon. Love you! :blowkiss:
Well anywho, I had my 15th birthday last tuesday. Still haven't grown an inch for 3 years. D: I'll be a shrimp forever! I wanted to update my gallery and all on my b'day but it was a rather depressing day so I putit of. The highlight of my birthday would probably have to be the gift my parents gave me. I asked them to get me a desk and chair. Drawing on my lap, sitting on my bedroom floor was getting bothersome. We have a dining table but I figured it would be rude to take over the place with my art equipment. So after about a year and a half of being deskless. I now have the desk of my dreams. :bucktooth: It's an old one. but it's big, well-built and it has an excellent surface. I'll post a pic of it when I've organised it a bit more. It's so cool. XD It even has secret conpartments. The best thing about it is that I'll feel like doing more art. Since I can be more comfortable. YAY! It's already working. I just had a 4 hour art session. (longest I've had in a while)I will probably post some art later on today or tomorrow. I've almost finsihed a small piece. It just needs a few small photshop touch-ups. I'm excited because although it isn't as pretty as I wanted it to be, it'll be the first coloured piece I've posted here that I've put effort into.
Have fun with your art friends. See you Later!

School holidays! YES! though they are already half-way finished already. :(
I have one line art nearly finished for a current WIP. I hope this piece will be something I won't feel like scrapping. -___-
Lately, I've mainly been trying to improve my drawing skills rather than finish anything. I have improved in some important areas recently though I am still uncomfortable with my art skills. But that's okay, I guess, as I know that it takes tremendous amount of work to become a good artist so I'll keep on practicing! :lol:
I have to assignments that need to be done over the holidays and I haven't done ANYTHING! *hides*

To conclude this boring journal entry, here are a couple awesome sites (in case you haven't already found them) That'll help with art:

[link] Drawspace... Go directly to the tutorials. They are awesome! I don't actually use that site for anything else. ^^;

posemaniacs.com/blog Pose Maniacs... The helpfulness of this site is incredible. You don't really have to copy the poses exactly but it's a great referance of human anatomy and it gives you ideas for some more interesting poses. The 30 second drawing exercise really helps you improve aswell.

quick update.

Well, I actually got a drawing in my gallery! WHOOT! I feel like a loser for taking so long. There are more to come soon aswell, I hope. I feel as though I have a lot more time for art now. I've been working on my time management. :p I am trying to improve my skills so I can eventually do GOOD art and eventually make comics and stuff. I still need to finish my friend's commish but I am now redrawing the final version so it's all underway. :) I finished my term school assesments and got a good report! Yay! I didn't even think I'd survive! I've been happy lately though I think it'll all end next turm as I can already feel myself losing interest in school. I can put that extra interest into art so I can start to improve faster at that. :)

I really can't think of anything else to tell for now. (unusual of me lol) So bye for now. :heart:

Yeah, a lot has been going on lately. Mainly school studies but my folks are sick at the moment so I've also been quite occupied with more house work, (includes childcare). I'm desperately trying to finish some artwork. I actually fixed my scanner on the weekend and I've nearly finished cleaning up a sketch I did for a friend. :) But it is so darn messy because of a team effort between both my crappy scanner and an old stingy pen. It is taking a while to clean. I might post the line art in my scraps when its done and I'm planning to colour so I'll post that when completed. Another RL friend has asked me to draw the main character of his novel-in-progress and I was like "no way! I barely have time to think as it is!" then he said that he'd pay me for it so I changed my mind ;) . I'm scared I'll screw it up so I'm working very slow and careful at it. I honestly don't think I'm experienced enough to do comissions but I agreed to do this one because it's for a friend and he says it will help him finish his story. :)

I am rather irritated at the moment because I really should be studying right now instead of chatting on the net and doing art. XD But school's totally consuming my mind right now. I don't think it's healthy at all. :(

Heya

I'm new here so don't blame me for the dead looking account. ^_^ I'll add some stuff soon. I'm drawing all the time but I'm really slow. :) For when I do have art, I would very much like critique(positive and negative) It's my dream to become a great artist so I don't mind taking advise no matter how harsh.
Bye for Now! luv ya!! <3
